The First Judicial District has an immediate opening for a Judicial Specialist 2 to join our team in the Fayette County Clerk of Court office in West Union, Iowa. The starting salary for new State employees is expected to be at the base of the pay range. The starting pay for this position is $37,544.00 - $54,932.80.Hours:Monday – Friday 8:00A – 4:30P To Apply: Candidates need to complete the NEOGOV application and attach a cover letter and resume. Under the direct supervision of the Clerk of Court and Trial Court Supervisor, candidates will have the desire to learn the complexities of our court case processing system using our statewide Electronic Document Management System (EDMS). This is a non-merit position. Candidates must follow the instructions in the "To Apply" section.Positions in this class are exempt from the screening and referral requirements of the Iowa Department of Administrative Services - Human Resources Enterprise.Minimum Qualification RequirementsGraduation from an accredited high school (or High School Equivalency) and two (2) years of successful completion of accredited post high school education in business, paralegal, computer, legal assistant or related program. Two (2) years of professional office experience in business, court or legal work or a related area with one (1) year of the experience involving customer service. At the discretion of the appointing authority additional years of experience may be substituted for the required post high school education.Or, the successful completion of additional years of education (i.e., Bachelor’s Degree) may be substituted for years of experience on the basis that successful completion of thirty (30) semester hours or academic equivalent equals one year of experience.
