Job Title: MachinistJob DescriptionOur company was founded in 1980 to provide the US Military, law enforcement, and government agencies with precision-engineered, high-quality weapons, components, and modular weapon systems. We have secured new international projects/contracts and are in need of machinists on 2nd and 3rd shifts. We are looking for quality individuals to join our team for the long-term.Responsibilities
Operate and adjust CNC Mill and Lathe tools to perform standard and repetitive sequences of operations
Use provided programs and setups maintained by others
Measure to .001 using precision measuring devices such as micrometers, calipers, and height stands
Quickly learn how to make adjustments to tool offsets to correct feature discrepancies
Judge if cutting tools need to be changed
Follow written instructions from Work Instruction Sheets
Check parts for conformance using strong blueprint reading skills
Essential Skills
Strong mechanical aptitude
Basic knowledge of hand tools and mechanical devices
Basic knowledge of machining processes (milling/lathes, horizontal/vertical)
Capability to use precision measuring devices
Competence to measure to .001
Ability to set up machine
Understanding of tooling and Mazak
Attention to detail
Strong communication skills
Experience with CNC machines
Willingness to learn M and G code programming
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Broad knowledge of machining techniques
Familiarity with Brother, Okuma, G-codes, M-codes, lathes, and mills
Experience with CNC Operator Level I, II, and III roles
