Accounting Assistant

Description Robert Half is seeking an experienced Accounting Assistant to support our respective client in Eldridge! In this pivotal role, you will be the friendly face and voice assisting customers, both in-person and over the phone, addressing their inquiries and ensuring seamless payment processes. We're seeking a candidate with exceptional customer service skills and a solid foundation in basic accounting principles, particularly accrual accounting and bank reconciliations.This is a fantastic opportunity for someone looking to grow their career in accounting within a supportive and collaborative environment. As part of the team, you'll enjoy the benefits of working on-site, Monday through Friday, from 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.Responsibilities:Be the first point of contact for customers, providing top-notch assistance with inquiries and questions via phone and in-person interactions.Process utility bill payments accurately and efficiently, ensuring timely completion.Process invoices with precision and attention to detail.Handle mail payments and collect payments from customers securely and efficiently.Utilize a multi-line phone system and transfer calls to the appropriate department Take charge of postal tasks, ensuring all mail is processed promptly and efficiently.Requirements Required Skills:Precise attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBasic knowledge on accrual and bank reconciliationsDesired Software Skills:Proficiency in Tyler Technologies and Encode software preferred.Basic knowledge of Excel is a plus.Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
