Sales-Focused General Manager

This role will be the key operations and sales leadership position for a painting and power wash company in the Des Moines metro area. Sales skills, strong customer care, a desire to lead and build teams, and a willingness to execute a proven franchise business plan are key. Position Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales-Focused General Manager to lead and oversee our paint and power wash operations. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong background in sales and business management. This role will play a pivotal part in driving business growth, building a high-performing team,

and ensuring operational efficiency.

Responsibilities:

1. Sales and Business Development:

Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth.

Identify new sales opportunities, expand client base, and establish strong relationships.

Conduct market research and stay up to date with industry trends to identify potential areas for business expansion.

Implement effective sales and promotional campaigns.

2. Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of paint and power wash professionals to achieve their full potential.

Track KPI’s, provide feedback, and implement training and development programs to enhance team skills.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, encouraging teamwork and a customer-centric approach.

3. Operational Efficiency:

Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and safety protocols.

Optimize operational processes to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase overall productivity.

Implement and maintain standardized procedures for paint and power wash services to ensure consistency and quality.

4. Customer Satisfaction:

Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring that exceptional customer service is at the core of every interaction.

Address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints promptly and professionally, working towards resolution and client satisfaction.

5. Financial Management:

Monitor and manage budgetary requirements, expenses, and financial performance of the business.

Analyze financial reports and data to make informed decisions and maintain profitability.

6. Compliance and Safety:

Ensure compliance with all relevant industry regulations, safety standards, and environmental policies.

Implement safety protocols and best practices to safeguard employees and clients.

Requirements:

Preferred - Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, Marketing, or a related field (MBA is a plus). Candidates who have strong backgrounds in leadership, sales, marketing, and operations are strongly encouraged to apply regardless of educational background.

Proven experience in sales and business development.

Previous managerial experience, showcasing strong leadership and team-building skills.

Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies.

Strong business acumen with a track record of achieving revenue targets and driving business growth.

Knowledge of paint and power wash industry practices, techniques, and materials is advantageous.

Proficiency in using sales and CRM software to manage leads, track progress, and analyze data.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:

- Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to manage; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.

- Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.

- Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.

- Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.

- Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.

- Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
