Location:

Ankeny, Iowa

About the Role:

We’re looking for a skilled Landscape Designer who can bring creative vision and precision to residential and commercial design projects. This role combines design work with light proposal development and basic administrative support. Ideal for someone who can take a project from concept to client-ready presentation with confidence and attention to detail.

You’ll be designing thoughtful outdoor spaces, collaborating on client proposals, and ensuring our documents, timelines, and communication are on point. If you're equal parts creative and organized — we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do:

Create functional, high-quality landscape designs for residential and/or commercial projects

Develop and format clear, compelling proposals using templates and brand guidelines

Collaborate with the team to interpret client needs and translate them into design concepts

Track project progress and support proposal deadlines

Maintain consistent file naming and organization in our shared drive

Provide occasional admin support (scheduling, research, document prep) when needed

Must-Haves:

Strong experience in landscape design, at least 1+ years (bonus if you’ve worked with hardscape/softscape layouts)

Proficiency in design tools (such as Realtime Landscape, DynaSCAPE, AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar)

Familiarity with Canva or similar programs for clean, branded proposal layouts

Clear written communication and ability to take direction and follow through

Excellent organization and time management — deadlines matter here

Nice-to-Haves:

Prior experience in a landscaping or construction company

Proposal writing experience or comfort working with estimates and project scopes

Hours & Pay:

Part-time: 15–25 hours per week, with potential for growth

Pay: Starting pay for this job will be $20/hour depending on experience.

Flexible schedule within standard business hours (CST), with occasional check-ins or quick turnarounds
