Carpenter / Assembler

Currently seeking a Cabinet Builder for woodworking Company located in Des Moines, IA and the eastern suburbs. The ideal candidate will possess 2+ years of recent carpentry/cabinetry experience.
Responsibilities of the Carpenter / Assembler
Study blueprints or drawings of cabinets to be constructed, and plan the sequence of cutting or shaping operations to be performed.
Build custom cabinetry according to customer specifications
Set up and operate woodworking machines, such as hand and power tools
Plan an effective approach to ensure each project is completed on time
Install hardware, such as hinges, catches, and drawer pulls.
Inspect each completed item to ensure that it has been constructed accurately
Other miscellaneous shop tasks as assigned
Requirements of the Carpenter / Assembler
Must have prior carpentry/cabinetry experience required
Must be proficient with various tools including saws, drills, and other hand/power tools
Must be able to read a tape measure to 1/16 inch – will be tested in the interview
50-75 pounds lifting frequently
Must have excellent attention to detail
Pre-employment E-Verify, drug screen, and background check
Valid Driver’s License and own reliable transportation to the Bondurant, IA
Must have the ability to read blueprints
Must have a pair of steel-toe boots
Compensation of the Carpenter / Assembler
Pay rate: $22-$25
