Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and assistance to individuals
- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Administer medications and monitor health conditions
- Prepare meals and assist with feeding
- Perform light housekeeping tasks, such as cleaning and laundry
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Escort clients to appointments or social outings
Experience:
- Previous experience as a caregiver or in a related field is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of basic caregiving techniques and principles
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and their families
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to handle stressful situations with calmness and professionalism
Skills:
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with clients
- Ability to follow instructions and work independently
- Good time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
Requirements
-Must be a resident of the state in which you wish to provide contracted services in
-valid driver's license, car insurance
-Must be at least 18 years of age
-Experience preferred but not required
-Reliable computer and internet access
-Complete all state mandated trainings
-Environmentally safe and clean residence
-Ability to pass State/Federal and APS/CPS background check
Client is an intellectually disabled and wheelchair bound male. If you do not have a wheelchair accessible premise, one will be provided at no cost except 1/2 the utilities. Must provide wheelchair accessible van or a lease can be arranged at no charge. No pets or full time children. Couple preferred. Pay based on skills/experience. 1 year contract with possible extensions.
