Harpors Vineyard Week/Weekend Event Staff
About Harpors Vineyard:
Harpors Vineyard is an event venue located 45 minutes south of Des Moines, IA. With an emphasis on ‘Outdoor Wonderful’, Harpors hosts events, mainly weddings, from April through November. We are currently seeking event staff to assist in the preparation of the events during the week and to work during the events on the weekends.
Time Commitment
This position is for a both week and weekends. Weekly hours may vary depending on event needs. Weekends will have a morning shift and evening shift so duties may vary depending on scheduled shift time. There can be multiple events on weekends.
Responsibilities for Event Staff
Assist with the preparation of the event space during the week, prior to the events taking place. These duties may include:
Steaming linens for tables
Arranging tables/chairs
Décor cleaning/organization
Organization of the overall event space and employee space
Occasional outdoor work depending on needs (i.e. landscaping help such as watering)
Assist during the event:
Décor setup
Assisting Day of Coordinator with coordination duties
Assisting vendors when necessary
Organizing and assuring quality of the space
Bussing tables during dinner service
Arranging tables/chairs during event if needed
Tidying space throughout event
Cleanup and organizing after event is over
Qualifications of Event Staff
Represent Harpors at all times
Attention to detail and quality
Effectively communicate with vendors, other staff, those renting the space, and event guests
Highly capable of working effectively and efficiently in an independent manner, as well as collaboratively when needed
Maintain professionalism throughout all situations
Exhibit enthusiasm and a positive attitude
Be able to lift 30 pounds or less
Job Type: Seasonal
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Evenings as needed
Monday to Friday
Weekends only
Ability to Relocate:
New Virginia, IA 50210: Relocate before starting work (Required)
