Easterseals Iowa is currently looking for a new team member to work as a Personal Service Coordinator in our Achieving Independent Methods (AIM) program. AIM is a wrap-around program for adults with intellectual disabilities, brain injuries, physical disabilities, developmental disabilities, and chronic mental health concerns. We provide direct care and care coordination for our clients who might have otherwise "fallen through the cracks" due to unique funding needs. We really try to focus on building independence and empowering our people to be the best, most independent person they can be. Some examples that staff may support clients with are:
Housing needs (paying rent, up keep of house, etc.)
Employment
Managing finances
Managing their health
Daily Living Skills
Living independently in the community (learning how to use transportation, grocery shopping, etc.)
Socialization and Recreation
Connecting to other services that they might need
Wage for this position starts at $16.24 per hour. It is a full time position and typically Monday-Friday, although there might be the occasional situations that arise (like needing to meet with a client in the evenings, weekend activities) but in those situations you would flex your time. There is an on-call rotation with this position. There is also a .25cent wage increase after a contingent, successful 90 days.
