Job DescriptionThe Pathfinding Digital Analysis Intern role within the Logic Technology Division (LTD) of Technology Manufacturing Group (TMG) is chartered to explore and propose/define novel cell library architecture concepts and develop prototype Digital Implementation flows to assess the power, performance and area impact.In this role, you will be working with the world's leading technology and design experts on advanced technology pathfinding and definition. This is an integral role within the Design Technology Co-Optimization (DTCO) framework. The role will be performed with domain experts across various areas of Technology Development, Design Enablement, IP and Product design groups within Intel.About the GroupTechnology Development (TD) is the heart and soul of Moore's Law at Intel. This is an internship opportunity that will last a minimum of 3 months.A Pathfinding Digital Analysis Intern plays an important role by bringing together a range of ideas and skills to drive Moore's Law. The key focus is as follows:The primary responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

Survey and document current trends in advanced node cell design

Assist with developing a novel cell architecture definition and implementation

Develop a Digital Implementation flow to implement the novel cell library

Conduct a set of experiments to quantify the power, performance, and area impact compare with a reference cell library

The candidate should also exhibit the following behavioral traits:

QualificationsYou must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates. The experience listed below may be obtained through schoolwork, classes and project work, internships, military training, and/or work experience.Minimum Qualifications:

Candidate must be pursuing a PhD in Electrical Engineering Computer Science, Physics, Materials Science or other related field of study

Preferred Qualifications:Minimum of 1 years of experience in one or more of the following (having more than one will be preferred):

VLSI Digital Impelemtation (block level)

Foundational IP design

Process Design Kit (PDK) development and testing with a focus on Digital Implementation enablement.

This role may also be available as our hybrid work model which allows employees to split their time between working on-site at their assigned Intel site and off-site.
