LSI currently seeks an Intake and Resource Referral Specialist to serve as the first point of contact for inquiries for services, to support immigrants and refugees reduce barriers to work towards community integration and self-sufficiency What You'll Do The Intake and Resource Referral Specialist will be responsible for and assisting with referral, intake and assessments through phone calls, walk-ins, or in the community for LSI's Immigrant and Refugee Community Services. Will coordinates assessments with clients to determine appropriate programming needs and assist them in reducing barriers to access and understand available services and community resources. Will collaborates with Coordinator team, Program Supervisors and/or Caseworkers to assess referrals, admissions and services to ensure high and efficient quality of service to clients in a plan of action that supports client goals. Will facilitate community outreach events to promote LSI programming including presentations, collaborate with other community resources, and engage referral partners. Most work occurs during normal business hours, however occasional after hours, or weekend work is required. Intake and Resource Referral Specialist must be knowledgeable of Immigrant and Refugee Community Services programming options as well as community resources. What You'll Need

Preferred: Bachelor's degree in health or human service related field strongly preferred. Minimum of two years' experience in social services, case management, intake / referral services and/or immigrant and refugee community services. Experience working with diverse communities and knowledge of community and state resources preferred.

Required: Bachelors degree in a human services or related field or High school diploma or equivalent with 4 years experience in working with or providing services to children and families. Experience should demonstrate proficiency in offering customer service and community engagement and navigating community resources for underserved populations. Fluent in English, both spoken and written; proficiency in language(s) spoken by LSI's clients is desired.

This position requires a valid driver's license, auto insurance, a good driving record and the ability to pass an extensive background check including checks of the Dependent Adult and Child Abuse registries, Sex Offender registry and a criminal history check.
