Description We are in search of a Financial Director to join our client's team in DES MOINES, Iowa. The role involves crucial financial responsibilities in a non-profit organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining financial records, developing budgets, assisting with grant funding, and producing financial statements. Responsibilities: Develop and maintain comprehensive financial records for the organization Oversee the management of payroll activities and budget analysis Manage banking activities of the organization Report to the Executive Director and the Board of Directors Ensure the financial integrity of the organization is maintained Develop annual budgets for the organization Assist with grant funding processes and ensure accurate accounting Produce detailed and accurate financial statements regularly Uphold all financial policies and procedures of the organization Collaborate with various teams to ensure financial transparency and accuracy.Requirements Candidate must possess a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. The applicant must possess strong knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Proven experience in managing a team is required. The candidate should have experience in grant accounting. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required. The candidate must possess strong organizational and time management skills. Proficiency in using financial software and Microsoft Office Suite is required. The applicant must have the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines. The ability to work in a fast-paced environment is required. The candidate should have a strong understanding of financial trends both within the company and general market patterns.
