Easterseals Iowa is seeking a dedicated individual to join our Crisis Stabilization Center. As a Crisis Stabilization Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting children and families experiencing mental health crises. Our program operates both at our serene Camp Sunnyside location and within the community. Responsibilities:

Skill Building Interventions: Implement skill-building interventions for children and families. These interventions aim to develop crisis management skills and prevent the need for future crisis services.

Collaboration: Work closely with the full team to create stabilization and WRAP plans for families. Provide support to help families learn the necessary skills to implement these plans and regain stability.

Coordination: Coordinate with case management and existing service providers to ensure that family needs are met.

Flexible Settings: Professionals may be assigned to either our residential or community settings, depending on client and team requirements.

Why Join Our Team?

Competitive Compensation: Enjoy a predictable and highly competitive pay rate of $17-$18 per hour, with opportunities for annual raises and bonuses.

Expert Training: Receive specialized training in Crisis Intervention, Collaborative Problem Solving (including certification), and WRAP. Additionally, learn to utilize the Skills System-an evidence-based approach for clients with cognitive challenges.

Join us in making a difference in the lives of children and families during critical moments.

Qualifications:

Hold a bachelor's degree with 30 semester hours or equivalent in a human services field (including but not limited to psychology, social work, nursing, education) and one year of experience in behavioral or mental health services.

Alternatively, hold a bachelor's degree outside of the human services field and have two years of experience in behavioral or mental health services.

Two years of experience in behavioral or mental health services is also acceptable.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in a crisis services setting.

The interview process consists of a first phone interview with Recruitment and Talent Development Coordinator followed by an in-person Team Leader Interview.
