Looking for like 3 years of experienceRouter switch firewallLoad balancersAdvanced router switch and configurationsEnterprise level SupportCiscoPalo AltoDay to day supportSwitchport configurationsPalo Alto - manage and deploy rule sets for the FirewallOn call - yes will need to be on call.The Network Engineer II will report to the Director of Infrastructure Services within the Engineering & Cloud Services area.Additionally, this individual will work with a staff of architects, engineers, and service desk personnel and work closely with subject matter experts from technical and business teams to develop and deploy technical solutions in supporting the critical business functions of the company.Duties and ResponsibilitiesIdentify and manage IT infrastructure project tasks and related ongoing supportProvide design and software support for our network related infrastructureManage vendor activities and verify expenses relating to day-to-day support requirementParticipate on project teams for large IT infrastructure project initiativesDefine and regularly update departmental network documentation and databasesProvide customer liaison role for day-to-day support activities and/or critical network functionsWrite business correspondence for recommendations, project support, and customer service purposesCollaborate with Project Managers to develop project scopes, estimates, milestones, and timelinesDevelop WAN / LAN diagrams and other support documentationServe as a technical resource for all assigned project workImplement and maintain all network and related systems to meet the organization's current and future requirementsProvide daily administration and oversight of the LAN/WAN network and related systemsManage maintenance, and patching of all networking equipment to include routers, firewalls, load balancers, and other related network software and equipmentProactively identify, analyze, and resolve network and system problems to include performance issues and related resource allocationProfessionally represent the IT Infrastructure Engineering & Cloud Services team as a technical consultant on projects; maintain, as necessary, documentation of related system builds and modificationsResearch, identify, and evaluate new products and services within the IT networking fieldInteract and coordinate with vendors, suppliers, distributors, and contract consultantsDevelop and provide network performance and utilization reports IT leadershipDevelop and document corporate policies and procedures as related to network, system, security, and device useSkills and AbilitiesMinimum 3 years' infrastructure support experience.Minimum 3 years' experience with Cisco route/switch equipment in both enterprise LAN and WAN configurationsMinimum 3 years' experience with firewall deployment and administration such as Palo Alto or similarMinimum 3 years' experience with Application Delivery Controllers such as F5 or similar Requirements - Networking experience- Palo Alto Firewall experience preferred- Cisco Networking experience- Proficiency in Palo Alto Networks- Foundational knowledge in WANs (Wide Area Network)- Proven knowledge of Network Load Balancing- LAN (local area networks) experience- Well-founded grasp of IT infrastructure libraries- Skilled in network design and implementation strategies Technology Doesn't Change the World, People Do.®Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
