Associate Relationship Manager

Expedition Wealth Management is a growing financial services firm based in West Des Moines, dedicated to offering safety and simplicity for our clients. As we continue to grow, we are looking for motivated and passionate individuals to join our team.

What We’re Looking For:

We're looking for a highly motivated, detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic to support a fast-paced office environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a willingness to learn, adaptability, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines. The Associate Relationship Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the Relationship Manager and delivering exceptional client service.

This role requires the ability to manage time effectively, prioritize tasks, and provide excellent customer service. You will be responsible for supporting client relationships both in the office and during client-facing events. Our office operates Monday through Saturday, with the workweek typically ranging from 40-50 hours, with an average of around 45 hours. This position requires working 1-2 Saturdays per quarter (9 AM to 1 PM).

Key Responsibilities:

Build and strengthen client relationships by providing a “Wow” experience.

Onboard new clients and manage existing client accounts

Communicate proactively with clients to address their needs.

Ensure all forms and applications are completed accurately and with attention to detail.

Handle post-issue tasks such as address updates, beneficiary changes, withdrawals, and RMD requests.

Assist with preparation for and follow-up after client meetings.

Track pending business and client requests to ensure timely resolution.

Perform additional duties and special projects as needed.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma required.

Life and Health insurance licenses are highly preferred or the ability to obtain within six months of employment.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in the financial services industry is preferred.

Basic knowledge of various investment accounts.

Familiarity with IRAs and IRS regulations related to retirement plans.

Required Skills:

Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related software.

Strong organizational skills with ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.

High attention to detail/ able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Professional demeanor, both in behavior and appearance.

Persistence in delivering high-quality work and superior service to clients.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

Independent, self-starter with a strong sense of accountability

Compensation:

$45,000-$55,000 per year, depending on experience.
