Accounting Manager/Supervisor

Description We are seeking an Accounting Supervisor to join our team. This role entails overseeing all basic accounting procedures such as financial statement preparation, month-end closing, and inventory control. Additionally, you will serve as a liaison with auditors, manage payroll processing, and drive the collections process. Responsibilities: Perform and oversee all basic accounting procedures including financial statement preparation, month-end closing, journal entries, tax payments, inventory control, and fixed asset management. Act as a liaison with auditors for annual financial and 401K audits. Monitor and review all records of assets, liabilities, and other financial transactions, ensuring reconciliation. Manage payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. Oversee insurance and benefit management for employees. Drive the collections process, communicating with customers to address any past due invoices and providing updates to management. Manage purchasing/receiving activities, liaising with vendors, and ensuring effective processes are used. Act as a key member of the company's leadership team, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making. Generate financial reports and analyze data to provide actionable insights to the leadership team. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations in all administrative and financial activities. Develop and implement control processes and systems to enhance operational efficiency and financial integrity. Lead and coach employees who perform administrative responsibilities. Collaborate with department heads to align financial goals with overall business objectives.Requirements Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems Experience with ADP - Financial Services Knowledge of ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning and ERP Solutions Familiarity with Great Plains (GPAC) software Ability to handle comprehensive Accounting Functions Experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) Solid background in Auditing Ability to manage Billing Functions Experience in preparing Monthly Financial Statements Retail industry experience preferred Supervisory or managerial experience in an accounting role is a plus Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent work experience Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills Ability to work collaboratively with various teams within the organization Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to multitask, prioritize, and meet deadlines Knowledge of federal, state, and local financial legal requirements is a plus CPA certification preferred but not required.
