Looking for the ideal candidate to perform a variety of structural design and CAD/BIM production tasks related to permanent and temporary structures to support construction operations. The Designer should have at least 2 years’ experience in engineering plan production, and be familiar with current technical tools, software, and CAD/BIM best practices. Work with our engineering and project teams to develop 3D models for permanent and temporary structures supporting construction activities on Kiewit projects
Use Revit software to produce design for estimate and construction documents
Participate in design reviews to evaluate design concepts and make recommendations
Maintain status of assigned tasks on team schedule
Follow company’s CAD/BIM and quality standards
Qualifications
2 to 10 years’ experience in CAD/BIM design and production of structural design models and documents
Associate degree in Computer Aided Design, Engineering Technology, or similar program experience
Proficiency in Revit modeling, sheet production & family creation
Additional proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroStation, or Navisworks is a plus
General knowledge of engineering principles and materials for structural work
Read and understand construction documents
Understanding of structural connections for steel and concrete structures
Ability to clearly communicate and collaborate with Engineer and Construction teams
Critical thinking skills necessary with the ability to plan and conceptualize
Capable of recognizing conflicts and discrepancies with strong attention to detail
Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
