Job DescriptionThe Iowa Medical and Classification Center (IMCC) is a multi-faceted correctional institution that serves as the male reception center for the Iowa Department of Corrections as well as housing a forensic psychiatric hospital, short term ambulatory/long term ambulatory (STA/LTA), special needs unit and a hospice unit to name a few. Correctional Building Service Coordinators are a vital part of IMCC's operations and provide janitorial, laundry, and housekeeping services to the institution. This position is 12:45pm - 8:45pm Monday - Friday. Minimum Qualification RequirementsThe equivalent of one year of full-time commercial building maintenance, housekeeping or laundry services experience;ORan equivalent or a combination of education and experience, substituting post high school vocational training or coursework in hotel or institutional management, commercial building maintenance, housekeeping or laundry services for the required experience, on a thirty semester (or equivalent) hours or nine months for one year of work experience basis;ORemployees with current continuous experience in the state executive branch that includes the equivalent of twelve months of full-time experience as a Correctional Officer with the full-time equivalent of three months of that experience supervising inmates in the institutional laundry, housekeeping or building maintenance services shall be considered qualified.For additional information, please click on thislink to view the job description.
