Job OverviewUnder the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor, the tank farm attendant is responsible for the unloading of bulk chemicals to bulk storage tanks and for the loading of bulk waste from bulk storage tanks to tanker trucks. Additionally, when not working in the tank farm, this employee will support the maintenance department performing minor maintenance activities or providing support as a second person when paired up with an employee from one of the other maintenance disciplines (i.e. a second pair of hands working with a mechanic). Responsibilities

Sample and unload hazardous bulk raw material liquids from trucks into bulk storage tanks.

Load hazardous and non-hazardous bulk wastes from bulk storage tanks to trucks.

Sample bulk nitrogen trucks for release.

Understand and complete line entry, hot work and confined space permits prior to work.

Follow procedures for implementation of Lockout/Tagout prior to performing work.

Support the maintenance department and the company mission as required.

All other duties as assigned.

Education, Experience & Licensing Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Prior chemical handling experience and basic chemical knowledge preferred

Prior experience loading and unloading chemicals from bulk tankers and trucks, as well as basic chemical transfers using pressure or pumps would be beneficial

Respirator use required

DEA background check required

Basic computer operation experience (i.e. Microsoft Word, email, etc.)
