Created in 2018 by bringing together Rockwell Collins and UTC Aerospace Systems, Collins Aerospace has the capabilities, comprehensive portfolio and expertise to solve customers’ toughest challenges and to meet the demands of a rapidly evolving global market.Electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) engineering co-ops and interns in the Collins Aerospace Environmental Effects Engineering department work in a dynamic environment with exposure of a wide variety of products, test equipment, enterprise design teams. The center of the department, a qualification lab, is responsible for testing products to the extremes of electromagnetic radiation, lightning, and power transients. Students are expected to provide technical support to this lab: assisting with the troubleshooting of test failures, test design, and data validation. Additional opportunities exist to learn fundamental design techniques to meet EMC requirements and aid product development teams in their designs.Basic Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field of study from an accredited institution
Must have GPA of 3.0
Must have completed 30 hours of college coursework
US Citizenship required
