We are looking for an experienced tile and flooring installer in all types of tile and wood installations (Floors, walls, custom tile showers, backsplash, fireplaces, etc.), with skills in tile and wood installation: subfloor requirements and prep, placement and pattern requirements, aesthetic placement of variety in tile texture and pattern, ability to avoid lippage with all tile types.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Removing and replacing existing floor coverings
Determine and implement the best layout to achieve a desired pattern
Tile fireplace trim
Tile window and base trim
Tile backsplashes
Complete grout work
Replace damaged tiles
Customer Relations - maintaining an open channel of communication with customers to ensure their needs and expectations are being met.
Continuously monitor your progress to optimize efficiency of your day
Maintain your tools and work environment in a safe and clean way minimizing disturbance to other areas.
Respect the environments you will be working in as they are your own.
Prepare substrate floor surfaces for installation and to receive new flooring finishes.
Measure, cut, and mix materials; create a proper floor foundation without flaw
Install new floor coverings according to job specific requirements
Always maintain job site cleanliness by keeping clean and hazard free.
Utilize, maintain and keep clean all company equipment, tools and any other provided materials and job-related tools in a respectful manner.
Staying on top of project expectations and specifications
Preparing necessary materials and tools for assigned projects
Managing assistants and helpers assigned to your work site
Installing factory finished and unfinished wood. Knowledge in sanding and finished is a plus.
