Position Title:Technical Coordinator for Volleyball Player DevelopmentAppointment Type:ContractJob Description:Iowa State University Athletics is accepting applications for Technical Coordinator for Player Development for the women’s volleyball program. This position will report to the Head Coach and assist with all aspects of game plan preparation, practice organization, equipment and off-season training programs. Duties will include:

direct the video operations for the volleyball program requiring expertise and judgment to code practices and matches and analyze statistics and trends;

create spreadsheets and reports that facilitate the interpretation of results to aid in player development and team success;

a nalyze opponent film to create effective scouting reports;

oversee digital video recording of practices and matches, and c reate a video dissemination plan for online access for our student-athletes;

assist in volleyball camps and clinics;

assist Director of Operations with projects;

assist Recruiting Coordinator with projects;

assist at all practices and matches with various non coaching duties.

Candidates will perform all duties with a commitment to adhering to University, Big 12 Conference and NCAA policies, procedures, and regulations; will contribute to and enhance a competitive athletic experience; will help foster an environment that promotes the well-being, personal development, and academic success of the student-athletes; and will establish and maintain effective interactions with students, colleagues, university community, alumni, media and the public.

This position requires solid knowledge of volleyball with the ability to provide effective technical analysis; proficiency using data coding software, video equipment and video editing software; and strong communication and organizational skills. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. This position will travel with the team, attend practices and work non-traditional hours.Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship. Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree.Experience in sport operations that involves knowledge of volleyball terms and experience using data coding software for the sport. Preferred Qualifications: Strong experience using Data Project/VolleyStation/VolleyMetrics to code court action, analyze statistics, and create custom reports.
