RN-Medical Childcare-Wednesdays (Part-Time) Nursing, Respiratory Therapy, and Supports Ames, Iowa Apply Description As a Medical Childcare Nurse, you will support children, ages 6 weeks to 6 years, in our Medical Childcare program in Ames. We are looking for someone to provide exceptional nursing care, support health, skill development, and retention. When You'll WorkWednesday 7:30am - 5:30pm Additional hours available in our Des Moines Medical Childcare location M-F!What You'll Do
Provide full range of nursing services that include administration of medications, feedings, and treatments.
Deliver care to meet each child’s daily care needs.
Perform ongoing assessments as needed.
Implement child’s care plan include nursing, therapy, and behavior support, conducting baselines, support plans and procedures.
Monitor children’s response to care.
Assist the clients in becoming as independent as possible through skill development and retention.
Assist the clients with comfort measures including but not limited to positioning and safety devices.
Maintain accurate, complete and timely records.
Accurately document observations and changes in behavior or health status.
Report and document daily observations, routine support provided, and physical/behavioral changes.
Participate in quality assurance and compliance activities as directed.
Care coordination with interdisciplinary team to ensure health and safety needs are addressed.
Communicate with clients, licensed professionals, ChildServe personnel, families, schools, and the public, in a courteous and professional manner.
What You'll Need
Current valid license as a Registered Nurse
Documentation of current CPR/BLS certification
Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
