Job Title: Carpenter LaborerJob DescriptionLooking for skilled carpenters, concrete workers, and steel erectors for various commercial projects within a 60-mile radius of Ames, IA. In this role, you will perform all aspects of construction such as demolition work, earthwork and excavations, concrete placement and finishing, layout preparation, framework erection for structures, ceiling and wall installation, welding, signaling operators and other construction related tasks.If you have a specific skill set, we will try to allocate you tasks that best suit your expertise. However, we do require candidates to be open to performing various tasks on a job site.Hard Skills Construction Carpentry (metal stud and wood framing/ finishing) Demolition work Earthwork and excavations Concrete placement and finishing Layout preparation and setting concrete formsSoft Skills Openness to doing different tasks on a job site Ability to work in a teamWork Environment Operate in a commercial construction environment. You'll be working in teams of 3-10 people on the job site at a time. Our normal hours are 7am-4pm M-F, although this may vary throughout the season and day.
