Description We are offering an opportunity in the agriculture industry based in WESTFIELD, Indiana for a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist. The role involves handling payroll duties using UltiPro, and assisting with payroll reporting and processing. This job is a contract position and does not offer the possibility of transitioning to a different employment status.Responsibilities: Utilize UltiPro for payroll implementation and processing tasks Ensure accurate payroll reporting Resolve any payroll related inquiries in a timely manner Maintain strict confidentiality of employee payroll information Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient payroll processing Keep up-to-date with payroll regulations and best practices Manage payroll workflows to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits Process correct garnishment calculations and compliance. Requirements Must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field. Proven experience as a payroll specialist in the agriculture industry is preferred. Strong knowledge of UltiPro software is essential. Must have the ability to process payroll efficiently and accurately. Strong mathematical and numerical skills are required. Must have excellent attention to detail and an ability to handle confidential information responsibly. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, are necessary. Must have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is necessary. Familiarity with federal and state regulations related to salaries, wages, taxes, benefits, and other payroll-related matters is essential. Must have strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot payroll issues. Ability to multitask and manage time efficiently is required. Must have a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism. Knowledge of agricultural industry standards and practices is a plus.
