Pay: $41.00 - $53.00/hrShift: M-F Day ShiftLocation: Waterloo, INRegularly and customarily performs the most skilled work on all electronic control systems in the manufacturing plant and will direct other maintenance personnel when assigned or assisting with work. When requested, will assist in all types of electrical and instrumentation maintenance, construction, controls tuning and inspection work, as may be necessary.Duties/Responsibilities:Analyze and troubleshoot electrical and controls issues throughout the plantTroubleshooting of automation systems and devices (PLC, I/O, VFDs, fieldbuses, communication networks)Replacement of defective devices, or commissioning of new devices, including basic configuration or backup reloadingCreate, update, and maintain technical documentation as needed (electrical diagrams, installation notes, other relevant documentation)Required Skills/Abilities:Understanding of general industrial electronics and process control conceptsAbility to read, understand, create, and update electrical diagrams, with an emphasis on troubleshooting from electrical diagramsElectrical troubleshooting capabilities with the use of multimeter and other diagnostic tools; 24VDC, 240VAC, 480VACExperience with industrial control systems (control panels, relays, contactors, safety systems, etc.)Experience with industrial automation systems, including PLCs (Siemens, Allen-Bradley) and HMIsAbility to read PLC program and reload from backupExperience working with industrial variable frequency drives (VFDs) (SEW, Siemens, Allen-Bradley, Lenze)Experience with industrial fieldbuses (Profibus, Profinet, ASi)Understanding of industrial safety concepts, systems, and devices (Estops, light curtains, safety doors, OSSD, safety monitors); experience with ASi-Safe and Profisafe are a plusBasic knowledge of ethernet and basic networking skills (routers, switches, IP address, MAC address)Working knowledge and basic understanding of pneumatics and hydraulicsExperience with AutoCAD for drawing/updating electrical plansStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, including ability to root cause and troubleshoot automated equipment and controlsExperience with Microsoft Visual Studio C# and Visual BasicProficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and ProjectOther duties:Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
