Description We are offering a contract employment opportunity for a Sr. Financial Analyst in Wabash, Indiana. The role focuses on financial planning, forecasting, and data analysis. The successful candidate will play a vital part in improving our financial performance and supporting our business operations.Responsibilities: Generate and support weekly rolling cash flow forecasts Conduct research and analysis on accounting data, market information, and other outside data and trends to provide financial insights Evaluate current and past financial data and performance to make recommendations for profit enhancement Aid in the development of process improvements for efficient and accurate key performance, financial, and operational reporting Analyze standard costs and other cost accounting measures Support monthly close and ongoing tax processes Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts Assist in establishing accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures Support Capital Asset Management approval procedures, ensuring proper control and documentation Resolve any discrepancies or irregularities found in records, statements, or transactions Provide additional analysis and support for business operations as assigned.Requirements A minimum of three years of experience working as a Financial Analyst or in a related role. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including the use of advanced Excel formulas. Proven experience in month-end close processes and preparation of month-end journal entries. Demonstrated ability to produce and analyze cash flow forecasts and other financial forecasts. Experience using Epicor or similar enterprise resource planning (ERP) software. Strong knowledge of general accounting principles and practices. Experience in Financial Planning & Analysis (FP& A) is strongly preferred. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required; a Master's degree or relevant certifications would be a plus. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
