Job Overview:The Regional Demand Generation Manager is accountable for effective Demand generation leading to inventory liquidation as per business plans, effective commercialization launch of new products, maintaining and improving productivity levels of field resources and critical demand generation activities, adoption of strategic initiatives like Metamorph, ELMS, Laser farm etc. and Product Stewardship and local Liaison with key stakeholders in the regionJob Responsibilities:Product Stewardship
Be a Watchdog for counterfeits and product stewardship in the region
Orient entire team on the company product stewardship principles
Drive ACC measures in the region
Periodic updates on stewardship issues timely with the leadership
In-depth understanding of the key Brand strategies and marketing objectives and develop an execution strategy crop wise-product wise- geography wise in line with business plans
Strategic Planning
In-depth understanding of the key Brand strategies and marketing objectives and develop an execution strategy crop wise-product wise- geography wise in line with business plans
Responsible to develop & execute territory wise market development plan for the year in consultation with the concerned Sales Lead
Responsible for identifying and developing new business opportunities in the region
Responsible for MC Collateral Planning and Sample requirement Planning territory wise
Effective Planning of Budgets and monitoring progress on monthly basis
Participate in Monthly Business Meetings of the SBU and demonstrate progress and planning for the upcoming period
DG Activity
Devise key strategies for liquidation and would be accountable for achievement of liquidation targets as per business plans
Responsible for planning & implementing marketing programs in the territory
Drive and participate in key DG activities like Mega Farmer Meetings, Harvest Days, Key Influencer Meetings, Trade Meetings in core markets
Monitoring progress of execution of all other DG activities by Marketing Coordinators and MA team in the region
Always maintain updated key influencer information and provide the details for central database update
Key Influencer Management
Liaison with scientists & officials of Ag Universities, Research stations, Sugar mills and Ag.Department etc.
Drive engagement of channel in all the core market development activities to extent possible
Technology Enablers
Ensuring successful implementation of Digital tools & initiatives like Metamorph ELMS DCAP Laser Farm
Market Intelligence
Develop understanding of competitive landscape and providing insights to the leadership
Keeping track of new product launches of Competitors and provide strategic insights to the leadership
Detailed customer profile in each of the territories in the region with in-depth understanding of the customer practices
Detailed Customer Feedback, Market Trends, Product Positioning, Key Value Drivers to be provided to the leadership
Supervisory Role
Monitoring and providing guidance to the marketing coordinators & Market Ignition executives for effective execution of DG Activities
Managing Productivity of his team- Periodic assessment and evaluation of performance Coordinate with concerned MA to ensure resources are on board as per plan across the year in timely manner
Ensure timely performance reviews for his team in the region- Goal Setting, Mid-Year and Year
End Reviews
Execution of the R&RA programs in the region
Identify training needs and ensure on the job training to MC & MIEs (Technical/Job Skills)
Administrative & Reporting
Alignment on the activity plan with the MA team
Periodic update on liquidation progress crop wise and product wise
Keeping track of customer complaints and addressing them effectively
Progress Review
Monthly review with MA leadership: Resource recruitment, Planning activities, MC Collaterals progress, Feedback on quality of MA services, Budget Reconciliation/Utilization
Education and Experience
Bachelor or Master's degree in agriculture or related field
10+ years’ experience in agrochemicals/crop protection
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Good experience in Field Crops & crop management techniques
Understanding of agronomy and modern crop production; in particular horticultural cropping
Good experience with Agro chemicals (Insecticides, Pesticides)
Good communication -oral and written- in both English and local language.
Strong persuasive & group as well as individual customer focused selling skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Objection management skill & Problem-solving ability
Capability to achieve sales targets, by still retaining control on the market.
Strong commercial acumen, understanding of the margin structure, conceptualizing schemes and articulating the advantages of our margins and schemes to the Dealers and Distributors
