PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Batch treatments and tank change outs as required by production.
Operate wastewater pretreatment plant and maintain compliance.
Assist with weekly and month end chemical inventories.
Maintain and perform daily, weekly, and monthly waste inspections.
Maintain chemical filtration systems and plating tanks for production lines.
Maintain chemical maintenance equipment in proper working order.
Observe all company safety and PPE requirements.
General housekeeping of chemical maintenance areas.
Receiving and warehousing of incoming chemicals.
Maintain and perform Hazardous waste management activities.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work outside of normal business hours as required
Other duties as assigned
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING
High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
1-5 years experience.
Annual Hazwoper refresher, RCRA and DOT hazardous materials training.
Forklift certified.
JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Working knowledge of plating tank chemistry (CEF certification helpful).
Good organizational skills and the ability to follow instructions.
Ability to lift and move 1-75 lbs. as needed.
Ability to interact with co-workers and supervisors in a cooperative manner.
Ability to maintain a regular and reliable attendance record
Ability to manage multiple jobs at the same time
Fluency in reading, writing and speaking the English language
Ability to work independently without supervision
EQUIPMENT USED
Required safety equipment—glasses, aprons, boots, face shields, respirators, and gloves
as needed.
Hoses and buckets to maintain fluid levels and make required chemical adds to process
tanks.
Air and mechanical pumps for transferring chemicals.
Measuring equipment for ensuring proper chemical add volumes and weights.
Forklift, two wheel dolly, and drum jack.
