Basic Job Functions:Responsibilities include but are not limited to: leading the safety, sustainability, and environmental compliance for the division and maintaining compliance with all environmental programs (air, water, waste, radiation) including permitting and reporting. This role includes managing an ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, managing the Radiation Safety program, overseeing contractors, conducting environmental projects, tracking on- site waste generation, waste disposal, recycling, and energy use. This individual will play an integral role in the education and training of the Nucor team, actively engaging with the plant wide team for solutions to problems and promoting continuous improvement. They are also responsible for maintaining compliance with site SPCC plan, perform disposal/recycling facility audits, work with and build relationships with Environmental Regulators, complete EPCRA/Form R regulatory reports, interpret environmental regulations, and plan community outreach and education activities. This position will require some travel. [[custsafetyState]]Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Engineering/Environmental
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with implementation and maintenance of an ISO 14001 or equivalent EMS.
Experience in air pollution, control operations, water treatment operations, hazardous waste or radiation safety.
Experience in programs such as the Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, and RCRA regulations.
Experience in environmental compliance in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Experience with Title V and or NPDES permitting.
