53 Year old Company has job opening; for position of structural steel Welder (Specifically columns and beams)
Welder; taking applications
Looking for a full time experienced structural steel fabricator / welder; mig welding, layout. Must be able to read blue prints and a tape measure. Also important will be able to do simply geometry. Working with carbon steel.
Duties will also include welding either with mig or tig welders, operating a forklift, using an overhead crane, drill press, sawing on a band saw, shearing and or punching on 1 of 4 iron workers, plasma cutting, heavy duty cutting with an oxygen/acetylene torch, magnetic drilling, threading anchor bolts. Finishing will include grinding hard wheel or soft wheel and or dual action air sander.
Having the knowledge of a tape measure is required.
Overtime pay and fringe benefits
Typical hours are currently 7AM to 4:30PM five days a week and (Saturday mornings 6AM to 11AM during busy season). Saturdays when offered are typically a volunteer basis but sometimes a requirement.
Must bring your own tools.
Being on time is very important.
Must take a physical and or drug test
Must have a car and drivers license to come to work.
You can use public transportation if it gets you here on time
