The Remote Service Specialist in Technical Support will have responsibility of executing proactive monitoring and troubleshooting of connected devices as part of Smart Care Remote Management. This position will determine necessary action to resolve any device alerts received that includes software updates, complaint documentation and follow-up, and service work order dispatch and basic troubleshooting of product and user platform issues. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Execute the set-up and support of Remote Service customers through Smart Care Remote Management.
- Proactively monitor devices for error codes, basic troubleshooting, and software upgrades.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of platform user issues e.g. password resets and user access issues.
- Service dispatch for warranty, contract, and fee for service work.
- Complaint documentation and follow-up for customer resolution.
- Basic technical and general information inquires.
- Additional miscellaneous tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate degree or related certificate preferred.
- 3-5 years combined experience in IT help desk/troubleshooting, customer service or related experience.
- Basic technical aptitude including service manual and parts breakdown understanding.
- Adept listening and positive communication skills.
- Computer literacy and functional knowledge/experience navigating technology.
- Occasionally stand/walk, reach/work above shoulders, use a telephone, sort/file paperwork, lift/carry/push/pull objects that weigh up to 10 pounds.
- Adherence to appropriate PPE and safety gear requirements as necessary in working environment.
- Repetitive motions, hand movements, reading, writing, eye hand coordination, preparing/analyzing figures, hearing, talking, sitting, bending, and squatting.
