Our CompanyResCare Community Living OverviewThe Private Duty Graduate LPN Program is a comprehensive program for new graduate nurses with less than six months of experience. The program serves to educate, train, support and evaluate nurses who have graduated from an NLN-AC or CCNE Accredited Nursing Program and is eligible to take the NCLEX exam within the next three months. The Graduate LPN provides treatments and services to patients in accordance with the state’s Board of Nursing regulations only under the guidance and supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN). Responsibilities
Acquires knowledge and experience to provide skilled nursing care to clients in accordance with the service plan, physician orders and agency policies
Learns how to promote and maintain client health through teaching and appropriate rehabilitative measures.
Learns how to assist clients in learning appropriate self-care techniques
Gains knowledge of the preparation of the clinical progress note and following the Client Serve plan as developed by the RN and according to agency policy
Observes and learns the process of preparing equipment and materials for treatments observing aseptic techniques as required
Develops understanding of how to keep abreast of nursing trends and knowledge
Learns how to communicate current health status and needs of client to the appropriate staff
Qualifications
Recent graduate of an approved school of professional nursing-within the last sixmonths
Successfully passed NCLEX Exam within first ninety days of hire, at which time you will be considered for a position as a Full Time Licensed Practical Nurse
Current CPR certification
