Job Summary:The purpose of this position is to receive all inbound shipments to the plant to include, but not limited to, resale goods, raw materials, maintenance parts and equipment, and daily use supplies for all departments. This position reports directly to the Shipping and Warehouse Supervisor and maintains a regular liaison with employees across the plant. High School Diploma or GED required
Qualifications:
Previous experience in inventory management
Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and/or inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports
Well-organized with the ability to prioritize
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Attention to detail and ability to problem-solve
Experience:
This position requires a minimum of six (6) months of on-the-job training for satisfactory job proficiency or two (2) years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities:
Receives all inbound shipments to the plant to include but not limited to raw materials, maintenance parts and equipment, and daily use supplies for all departments.
Responsible for generating all small pack (UPS and FedEx) shipping labels for outbound shipments.
Responsible for auditing inbound shipments for accuracy to include quantities as well as part numbers received are accurate and match corresponding pack lists.
Responsible for distributing all inbound materials and supplies throughout the plant.
In addition to unloading and tracking inbound shipments the receiver also works closely with Procurement, enters inbound shipment quantities in PRMS by P.O. number, and audits quantities received vs ordered quantities for each P.O.
During down time the receiver may be tasked with assisting shipping operators to include but not limited to loading and securing outbound freight, warehousing, or staging outbound shipments.
Performs other clerical duties.
All other duties as assigned.
