Beckett Bronze Co., Inc. Foundry seeks high school graduates with a good attendance record & basic math skills that have the ability to do work that can be hot and physically demanding.
The foundry operates production casting equipment that produces various continuous and centrifugal cast bronze, brass, aluminum bronze and lead-free bronze alloys to be manufactured into a make-to-print finished machined part for OEM and/or aftermarket industries.
Starting Wage: $20.00 per hour ($0.40) 2nd shift premium). Employees are paid time and one half for work over 40 hours per week. Employees will receive merit wage increases as they develop skills.
Job Title: Melt Caster Operator - 12 hour shifts that rotate every 30 days between 1st (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and 2nd (6:00 PM to 6:00 AM) shift working a minimum of four days a week. There is a physical examination that includes a 100 pound lift test and a drug screen.
Job Task Description: Applicant must have the ability to load various weighted metals that are transported by a fork truck and then by hand into an induction melting furnace with capacity to melt up to 1,200 pounds per hour. New hires will also be trained to operate casting extraction equipment which include a saw and a bar straightening machine. The responsible operator must have ability to check cast dimensions using various types of micrometers.
