In this position, you will be responsible for the entire blending process which includes staging, prepping, loading, mixing, cooking, sampling, testing, and offloading the finished product. You will also operate a sit-down forklift and ensure the smooth functioning of machinery and reactors. Maintaining cleanliness and adhering to safety protocols is essential. Timely execution of tasks and effective communication of any issues to the Team Lead is crucial. You'll be involved in cross-departmental assistance, performing various tests, and undertaking maintenance tasks during downtime. Oversee and execute the entire blending process including staging, prepping, loading, mixing, cooking, sampling, testing, and offloading.
Operate a sit-down forklift to manage materials and products.
Ensure machinery and reactors are functioning smoothly.
Maintain cleanliness and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
Communicate any issues or concerns to the Team Lead promptly.
Assist across departments as needed.
Conduct various tests and sampling procedures to ensure product quality.
Perform maintenance tasks during downtime.
Commit to producing environmentally safe products and maintaining quality standards.
Essential Skills
Experience in manufacturing, with a preference for blending, mixing, or compounding.
Physical strength and stamina to stand, walk, and lift for long periods (up to 50 lbs).
Ability to work safely without consistent supervision.
Flexibility to work all days of the week, including weekends on a rotating basis.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to read, write, and understand English.
Willingness to shave to meet respirator requirements.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
At least 1 year of experience as a Blender Operator.
Experience in chemical manufacturing, extrusion processes, or injection molding processes is beneficial.
Energetic and dynamic work ethic.
Adaptability to work in varying climates.

The manufacturing environment is large and not temperature-controlled, meaning it can be hot in the summer and mild in the winter, especially near large kilns. We offer 1st and 2nd shift schedules on a 2-3-2 rotating basis, averaging 42 hours per week. The dress code includes safe footwear and appropriate clothing, with a range of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) provided and mandatory in certain areas. Cold vests are provided and mandatory on the 3rd floor when the temperature exceeds 90 degrees.
