The Sanitation Operator I, will perform housekeeping and sanitation processes using basic equipment and following sanitation schedules and safety processes. Principal Accountabilities
Adhere to safe work practices, follow governmental regulations and other required guidelines, maintain sanitary conditions, ensure product quality is maintained and all lockout and tag out procedures are followed
Follow sanitization schedules and record, maintain and signoff on sanitation records
Verify cleaning tools are in acceptable condition and replace as necessary
Assist operations and maintenance teams in operator care tasks such as disassembling and cleaning processing machines and equipment
Work safely with cleaning chemicals including use of protective gear as required and operating basic sanitation equipment
Maintain overall site cleanliness by performing sanitation tasks such as sweeping, dusting and mopping under frequent guidance
Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
Basic computer skills
Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to work overtime including holidays, nights, weekends, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications
Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
Experience working in a production related work.
Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift
High School diploma or GED equivalent
