In the Senior Accountant role, you will support the company's goals by preparing and consolidating financial statements, analyzing and reconciling accounts, analyzing cash flow, establishing budgets and forecasting, preparing audits, and handling internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Produce monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management purposes
Strong interest in continuously improving the automation of the accounting and reporting process
Review financial information such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc. and present analysis in a clear manner
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Offer involvement in various department-wide initiatives
Formulate Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Assist in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Uphold company standards when working with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures and controls; while also providing support on special requests when required Requirements - 2+ years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
Experience in SOX control execution/documentation
Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail
Demonstrated ability in strong analytical, quantitative and social skills
Proficient in ERP systems
Ability to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment, to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent
Prior work done in public accounting is desired
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
Proven knowledge of Annual Physical Inventory
Capital assets experience
Well-founded grasp of Inventory Accounting
SyteLine experience desired
Fixed Asset Accounting experience highly desired
General familiarity with US GAAP
Syteline ERP experience preferred
Earlier work involving manufacturing
Practical knowledge of IFRS Accounting
Quality experience with international financial reporting standards
Wide ranging experience with Microsoft Excel
Deep understanding of month end closings
Able to manage time well
