Staff Accountant

Description We are seeking a meticulous Staff Accountant to work within our team situated in Kokomo, Indiana. As a Staff Accountant, you will be tasked with multiple responsibilities, including preparing journal entries, assisting with month-end close processes, and conducting financial reviews. You will also be expected to utilize your knowledge of Excel and QuickBooks to manage and streamline our accounting functions.Responsibilities: Prepare and submit journal entries as part of the company's financial procedures. Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported. Conduct financial reviews to guarantee the accuracy of information and to identify any discrepancies. Utilize Excel for data analysis and financial reporting tasks. Operate QuickBooks to manage and analyze financial data and transactions. Handle accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks to ensure all financial data is up-to-date. Conduct bank reconciliations, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded. Maintain the general ledger to ensure all financial transactions are correctly inputted. Assist with the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is accurately reported. Requirements Must hold a minimum of one year's experience in a Staff Accountant role or similar Proficient in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations Knowledgeable in managing General Ledger operations Skilled in making Journal Entries Capable of effectively handling Month End Close activities Proficiency in using QuickBooks or similar accounting software Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Must have a strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
