Description Robert Half is offering a permanent position for a skilled Staff Accountant to join their dynamic, rapidly-growing team. In this position, the Staff Accountant prepares journal entries, monthly and year-end closings, bank reconciliation, fixed asset maintenance and general ledger reconciliation. During the monthly close, various aspects of internal reporting will be under your responsibility. You will assist in developing and implementing accounting policies. Also, you will take part in compliance, interact with our external auditors for quarterly reviews and annual audits, and review schedules for the reporting processes. This position plays an intricate part in producing Financial Statements, Cash Flow projections, and Budgets. Play a part in a variety of department-wide initiatives
Compose thorough journal entries and account reconciliations which include, but are not limited to, cash, prepaid expenses, and payroll
Assist with the month end, quarter end and year end closing process by preparing monthly financial close workbooks
Produce journal entries and perform the month end close under minimal supervision
Manage schedules for monthly payments and capital lease
Become well-versed in month end balance sheet account reconciliations
Periodically maintain and reconcile journal entries
Oversee depreciation, fixed asset ledgers, and reconciliation
Maintain, implement, and adhere to internal controls while ensuring that accounting procedures comply with GAAP
Ad hoc reporting and performing special projects upon request
Handle intercompany transactions, billings, and reconciliation
Prepare monthly balance sheet and income statement analyses for management reporting
Survey and organize various financial data, reporting it in a useful and understandable manner Requirements - Ability to prioritize deals and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent, and to thrive in a dynamic, high pressure environment
Spreadsheet and database capabilities
Skilled in analytical, quantitative and social skills
BA/BS or equivalent in Accounting, Finance or Economics
Outstanding organizational, written and verbal communication skills required
Recent and relevant accounting experience
Seizes opportunities to produce results without direct supervision
Working knowledge of spreadsheets and databases
Ability and willingness to meet business critical deadlines
Attention to detail and ability to follow standard procedures is a requirement
Proficiency in Balance Sheet Account Reconciliation
Monthly Bank Reconciliation experience
Month end closings experience
Skilled with ERP systems
