Summary

As a Warehouse Receiving Lead at ShipCalm, you will play a key role in supporting the daily operations of inbound logistics. Your primary responsibility is to ensure that all inbound shipments are processed efficiently, safely, and in line with established KPIs. You will be responsible for guiding a team of logistics associates to meet service levels, monitor safety protocols, and execute daily tasks that align with the broader goals of the warehouse. This position reports to the Inventory Supervisor.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

-Lead, train, and motivate a team of warehouse associates, ensuring all team members understand their roles and responsibilities.

-Assist in overseeing daily inbound operations, including receiving, shipping, staging picking, and put-away of goods.

-Act as the primary point of contact for team members, helping to resolve operational challenges and foster a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

-Monitor inbound service levels, ensuring timely and accurate processing within 48 hours of scheduled delivery.

-Manage unscheduled appointments, missed deliveries, and adherence to safety guidelines.

-Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to inbound activities such as inbound accuracy, receiving times, and pallet processing.

-Monitor compliance with safety protocols and procedures to maintain safety and organization.

-Conduct daily shift meetings to review team performance, discuss safety, and address operational issues.

-Support the Inventory Supervisor in implementing strategies to optimize workflows, reduce costs, and increase overall efficiency.

-Ensure that inbound areas are clean, organized, and safe, and proactively address safety hazards.

-Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance processes, reduce errors, and improve inbound operations.

-Report to work in a regular and timely manner.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

-Experience level: Prior experience in logistics or warehousing. Previous leadership experience in a warehouse or logistics environment is a plus.

-Education level: High school diploma or equivalent, preferred.

-Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to lead a diverse team.

-Knowledge of warehouse safety protocols and experience with logistics software (e.g., WMS or ERP systems) is a plus.

-Ability to problem-solve and adapt to fast-paced, dynamic environments.

-Forklift certified or able to obtain state-approved forklift certification, preferred.

-Ability to prioritize a variety of tasks in a manner that enables timely completion.

Physical, Mental, and Environmental Demands

-Working in a seated or standing position up to and exceeding eight (8) hours per day.

-Lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds with or without assistance.

-Operating carts, dollies, and other moving equipment to move large quantities of merchandise.

-Bending, leaning, kneeling, squatting, and/or twisting to grasp and move items.

-Using a calculator, mouse, and keyboard.

-Viewing computer screens.

Schedule and Location

-Schedule: This is a full-time position scheduled to work Monday-Friday, from 7:30am to 4:00pm, subject to change by business demands.

-Location: This position is located at 8377 E Camby Road #194, Plainfield, IN 46168.

Compensation

-Hourly Pay Rate: $20.00
