The brand-new facilities will utilize the latest technology, advanced highly integrated and automated manufacturing systems, and have a focus on minimizing the impact to our environment.Position Brand Description:As System Engineer on the Tech at Lilly MQ External Manufacturing team, you will be responsible to research, design, develop, and support tech solutions to meet the digital needs of Lilly’s External Manufacturing organization. You will use your technical expertise, analytical skills, and leadership abilities to create key components for these systems, evaluate different technologies, and work closely with other members of the Tech at Lilly and External Manufacturing Business teams to ensure that the systems are implemented correctly and effectively. You will be part of cross-functional Joint Process Teams to represent Tech at Lilly as an enabling function to meeting the team’s operational needs as well as ensure smooth support of Tech at Lilly enterprise initiatives such as Cyber-Security. Due to the rapidly increasing footprint of External Manufacturing at Lilly and the lack of current digital capabilities, you will be front and center of designing and deploying new technology solutions, in particular within the digital collaboration and advanced analytics arenas.How You Will Succeed:

Bring your technical knowledge and experience to design, develop, deploy, and support technology solutions to meet External Manufacturing business needs.

Effective collaboration with internal Tech at Lilly teams such as AADS or Digital Core as well as external providers to bring the best digital solutions to the business.

Act as core member of Joint Process Teams representing Tech at Lilly. Proactively propose technology solutions to meet unmet business needs and represent Tech at Lilly initiatives that are impacting the business.

Develop an in-depth understanding of the business processes within the External Manufacturing landscape and marry that to available technology, at times helping the business understand process changes that could take advantage of available technology to increase efficiency and accuracy of the business.

Drive the business adoption of assigned solutions, ensuring alignment with Tech at Lilly and External Manufacturing at the overall enterprise and tech strategy, while leveraging awareness of internal and external trends in partnership with the Business SMEs.

Must be able to communicate complex technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders and influence decision making at the execution level.

Must be able to stay up to date with new technologies and evaluate which ones are best suited for the organization's needs.

Review and approve documentation related to areas of responsibility (Validation Lifecycle documents, SOPs, policies, executed IQPQ protocols, etc.) as appropriate.

Stay active and current in business technology trends, direction and innovation related to business process and technology areas of focus by participating in external forums, conferences, and other venues as necessary.

What You Should Bring

Experience with playing a software engineer role for other business areas, in particular in the Manufacturing and Quality arena.

Experience with data integration and advanced analytics.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with stakeholders and articulate complex technical concepts.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues.

Adaptability and flexibility to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

Experience with Computer System Validation for GMP solutions.

Your Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

Minimum 3+ years’ experience leading or supporting the deployment and support of technology solutions to a business area.
