Experience the power of a game-changing career.#LI-RemoteJob Title: Senior Java API Lead Developer (Leader, Consultant)Job SummaryWe are looking for an Sr API Lead Developer to work hands-on with our API development teams to establish a scalable and sustainable API governance model. This role will help streamline API design and collaboration, ensuring compliance with the company's existing security standards and governance policies while improving efficiency and developer experience. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering teams, governance stakeholders, and product managers to prevent redundant APIs, encourage API reuse, and foster best practices. Additionally, this candidate will be responsible for understanding the company's current goals and vision for API development, ensuring that teams adhere to these standards while also making recommendations and optimizing processes where necessary.Required Skills & Qualifications

5+ years of experience in API design, development, and governance.

Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, OpenAPI specifications, and API security best practices.

Experience with API lifecycle management, versioning, and cross-team collaboration.

Hands-on experience with API development tools such as Postman, Swagger, API gateways, and CI/CD pipelines.

Java 21

Ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, product, and governance teams.

Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and mentor engineers.

Passion for driving standardization and improving developer experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in large-scale API ecosystems with multiple teams contributing to shared APIs.

Familiarity with API governance frameworks such as API Guilds, Centers of Excellence, or API Communities of Practice.

Knowledge of API monetization and productization strategies.

Previous experience embedding within a development team to improve processes.

Help establish a streamlined process for contributing to shared APIs, reducing duplication and inefficiencies

Salary Range:The base salary range for this position is $91,457 - $137,186 , plus incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on work location, qualifications, skills, education, experience, and competencies.
