Quality Engineer

The Quality Engineer will, under the general direction of the Quality Manager, have the vital responsibility of handling day-to-day product and process quality assurance support.  Working with the metrology lab team, including performing analyses, preparing samples, and taking the initiative to identify anomalies and propose useful analyses and corrective actions. This position will support all processes through technical and administrative support to ensure the highest quality of products manufactured across the entire facility. This position offers the opportunity to work with an exceptional range of instruments and manufacturing processes to develop in-depth knowledge of continuous improvement activities, as well as experience in the booming industry of lithium-ion battery production.RESPONSIBILITIESCollaborate with other engineers, technicians, and staff to review product design, manufacturing processes, and test documentation; ensure that the customer program or contract quality requirements are understood and metCollaborate with clients, customers, and other stakeholders to identify and resolve problems with products or services providedSupport for preparation and performing analyses for critical to quality tests and manufacturing process validation using metrological and analytical instruments for in-process and receiving inspection activities for raw materials and products manufacturedProvide Quality Engineering support for in-process and final product acceptance as well as supporting Root Cause and Corrective Action ActivitiesCreate/Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and provide input to update them as appropriateEvaluate and report data while maintaining test documentation following internal company protocols and material ID systems, including collection and preparation of COC/COA for customersSupport the EnPower team to complete production tasks to meet production goalsSupport the measurement system analysis program and calibration activities to ensure equipment is appropriate and ready for useProvide direction and training to EnPower team for continuous improvement and corrective actionMaintain safe workplace practices and actively participate to correct any unsafe conditions or unsafe behaviors.Perform Process audits, including but not limited to startup/shutdown verification, Error proofing, first piece sampling, and release activities, issue resolution, equipment/process change documentationPerforms other duties as assigned
