Within this role you will be able to effectively run a defined territory with both virtual and face to face opportunities to meet or exceed your sales goals, while engaging with customers compliantly to strengthen our reputation as a preferred partner.

Deliver consistent sales performance across portfolio

Engage in valuable patient centric dialogues and provide resources to serve customer needs, expectations, and challenges in order to build trusted customer relationships

Execute marketing/brand strategy at local level and use resources appropriately

Collaborate with cross-functional customer-facing team to create outstanding customer experiences within Lilly’s policies and procedures

Develop and execute territory specific business and account plans to optimize coverage and frequency to key customers, thought leaders, state and local advocacy groups, teaching institutions, and managed care personnel/organizations in order to improve access and sales opportunities

Understands the healthcare marketplace; the payer environment; customer (account and stakeholder) priorities; patient, product and monetary flows

Utilize strategic account-based selling to achieve goals by building relationships with the total office and meeting customer needs with all members of an account

Develop and maintain strong disease state and product knowledge

Pursue ongoing medical knowledge within and outside of formal Lilly training by reading industry/technical literature (e.g. articles, journals, newsletters) and attending medical conferences when possible

Share learning effectively with teammates to serve as a resource within sales team

Basic Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree

Professional certification or license required to perform this position if required by state

Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required

Additional Preferences:

Proven track record of exceeding sales expectations

Experience within specialty and/or biologics/in-office infusions

Strong background in navigating complex accounts within integrated health systems

Thorough understanding of specialty pharmacy distribution model

Ability to incorporate the “total office” selling approach/account management

Strong verbal and written communication skills

Proven track record to personalize the customer approach-IQ/EQ balance

Demonstrated ability to manage complexity while making the product experience simple for the customer

Quick learning agility/self-development focus

Strong business analytical skills (business/financial acumen)

Experience working in a virtual environment to connect with health care providers

Bilingual skills as aligned with territory and customer needs

Additional Information:

Live in or be willing to relocate to the area of responsibility.

Ability to provide secure and temperature-controlled location for product samples may be required.

Approximately 25%-50% travel; some overnight travel may be required
