Description We are seeking an individual for the role of Office Manager in the construction and contractor industry, located in Indianapolis, Indiana. The role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity, where the selected candidate will be responsible for managing office duties, handling customer inquiries, and managing all office operations. This is a role that requires a high level of organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle a fast-paced work environment.Responsibilities: Overseeing all office duties and ensuring smooth operations. Greeting guests, answering phones, and directing calls appropriately. Handling customer inquiries, providing information, or directing to appropriate personnel as required. Processing and managing invoices, and maintaining accurate records. Preparing bids for projects and monitoring their progress. Liaising with state and different agencies as part of regular work. Ensuring compliance with government regulations and maintaining up-to-date knowledge through continuous training. Collaborating with the team to provide excellent customer service. Solving problems efficiently and handling challenging situations with professionalism. Utilizing Microsoft Office Suites, particularly Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook, to manage tasks and communication.Requirements Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office Suites, and Microsoft Outlook is required Demonstrated customer service skills Experience in answering inbound calls preferred Familiarity with managing subcontractor bids Prior experience in bid management Ability to effectively communicate and coordinate with various departments and external stakeholders Strong organization skills and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously Proven ability to work independently and make sound decisions Detail-oriented and able to maintain high levels of accuracy Previous experience in the construction/contractor industry is a plus Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle office matters with utmost professionalism and integrity Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to anticipate needs and issuesRobert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
