DescriptionPrimary Responsibilities:
Advises on and implements policies, programs, and processes to enhance employee and retiree experience, improve efficiency, and maintain compliance.
Manages vendor relationships to ensure market competitive and financially responsible program recommendations. Proactively and effectively manages all renewal processes and annual open enrollment.
Proactively engages with brokers and vendors to manage costs and ensure timeliness and accuracy of benefits administration; ongoingly evaluates vendors and makes recommendations for service enhancements and/or alternatives.
Partners with stakeholders across IFBI to document, streamline, and standardize internal benefits and leave processes and procedures.
Works closely with Finance, HRIS, and Payroll to ensure accurate billing, employee contributions, and associated expenditures.
Collaborates with all levels of the organization to ensure benefits strategies align with and support organizational and TM strategies.
Provides leadership to benefits team and drives effective performance of the day-to-day benefit program operations.
Ensures a high and consistent level of customer service and program support to IFBI benefits participants, including the resolution of complex issues.
Develops employee communication materials related to benefit and leave programs and opportunities.
Oversees set-up and maintenance of employee benefits files/deduction codes, group benefits database and employee payroll records in HRIS system and third-party systems.
Manages all data protocols including vendor integrations, audits, critical metrics, and ad hoc analytics.
Ensures timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and file feeds.
Evaluates the costs and benefits of key programs, such as healthcare, retirement, wellness programs, leave, income replacement, and employee discount programs with the focus on improving employee value proposition and employee experience.
Remains current on, and ensures compliance with, applicable government regulations, including but not limited to plan documents/SPD, participant notices, ACA compliance, nondiscrimination testing, Form 5500, retirement plan audit and annual valuation.
Knowledge and Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
5-10 years of benefits, wellbeing, and leave program design, administration, and compliance experience required, 3 years managing and developing teams preferred.
CEBS, SHRM, HRCI certification preferred.
Experience with self-funded healthcare arrangements with focus on HDHPs and incentivizing responsible consumer-driven behaviors.
Hands-on experience with defined contribution retirement plans, including 401(k)/profit-sharing and non-qualified arrangements.
