Electrician

The Electrician is responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems, machinery and equipment in a manufacturing facility. Their role ensures optimal performance of electrical systems in an efficient and safe manner while preventing or minimizing downtime in production processes.Install and wire new electrical systems at or below 480V for manufacturing equipment and machinery as described in machine specs.Perform regular maintenance checks and inspections on electrical systems to ensure they are functioning properly.Troubleshoot and diagnose faults or issues in electrical circuits, control systems, motors, etc. and provide necessary repairs to minimize downtime.Repair or replace faulty components such as wiring, circuit breakers, switches, and motors.Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations regarding electrical installations and repairs; report any significant electrical failures, safety hazards or compliance issues to management.Collaborate and provide support for with maintenance teams, engineers, and production to coordinate electrical work on machines or systems.Ensure that all electrical work complies with local and national electrical codes, safety standards, and company policies.Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and other safety protocols when working on electrical equipment.Maintain accurate records of electrical repairs, maintenance, and inspections.Complete maintenance logs and create reports to track electrical work performed.
