At this site, you will manufacture all tooling and weld equipment for North American plants. The Controls Engineer will be responsible for designing electrical control systems, PLC modification and programming, building control cabinets for machinery, and integrating safety PLCs, among other tasks.Responsibilities
Design electrical control systems
Modify and program PLCs
Design and build control cabinets for unassembled machinery
Travel to other company sites for integration and installation of control systems
Identify and suggest necessary electrical motors and power supply
Work within Ethernet communications such as DeviceNet, Profinet, and Profibus
Integrate safety PLCs and safe I/O
Understand OSHA requirements and safety standards
Essential Skills
5+ years of professional controls engineering experience
Proficiency in Allen Bradley PLCs (RsLogix500 and RsLogix5000)
Experience with control system design
Proficiency with Ethernet networking (Profibus, Profinet, DeviceNet)
Knowledge of Structured Text
Experience with safety PLCs
Work EnvironmentYou will be the sole Controls Engineer for this site, with approximately 10% travel to regional sites including Fort Wayne, IN, Toledo, OH, Franklin, KY, Louisville, KY, and Chattanooga, TN. The schedule is 5 days a week, 8 hours a day, with occasional overtime. All work will be performed on-site in a clean and climate-controlled environment.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $40.87 - $48.08/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
