The Associate Director, Compliance requires a solid understanding of how organization capabilities interrelate across department(s).Associate Director Job Description – Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and MarketingThe Associate Director, Compliance is expected to develop and implement compliance policies and strategies that help to minimize overall enterprise risk. The individual will be responsible for researching compliance issues and recommending changes that assure compliance with contractual obligations as well as federal and state regulations. The Associated Director maintains relationships with government agencies and is response for the management of staff. The role will require the effective identification of operational and regulatory risk and the resolution of complex technical and operational problems across multiple business areas within Humana.Humana is seeking an Associate Director to oversee compliance programs for Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing. The Associate Director oversees compliance associates and will be ultimately responsible to analyze business requirements, provide research and regulatory interpretation, and advise internal business units and external business partners in delivering results in a manner that minimizes compliance risk exposure for the Company. Responsible for completing risk assessments, creating annual work plans to audit and monitor Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing performance. As an Associate Director, you will be part of a fast-growing team who develops and maintains key relationships both internally with Humana operational leaders as well as externally with our business partners. While working within assigned areas to optimize business results, you will:

Develop strategy and provide on-going oversight and monitoring of Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing, and related areas, to ensure full compliance and minimize risk for the Enterprise;

Complete risk assessments and create annual work plans to audit and monitor operational performance;

Interpret and define regulatory and contractual requirements to be implemented by appropriate Humana or Medicare Departments and/or external business partners;

Communicate with and present to outside regulators;

Oversee the review of market documents and data analysis to identify what can be used to evidence meeting compliance and regulatory standards;

Oversee the auditing and monitoring of Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing, and report to RC leadership top risks, remediation plans and other information as appropriate;

Work across Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing, to enhance data analytics and operational improvement efforts;

Perform assessments, develop action plans, and provide guidance to Medicare Sales Practices, Sales Agencies, and Marketing;

Build relationships with aligned leaders and partners; and

Serve as a translator between Humana and assigned business partners and practices to assist with the interpretation of the intention of guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Bachelor's Degree

6 or more years of technical (healthcare compliance or equivalent)

2 or more years of people management experience

Advanced experience working in compliance, risk management, or managed-care field. Providing oversight and auditing managed care activities

Strong communication skills with the ability to influence effectively

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

MBA, Juris Doctor, or other graduate degree

Additional InformationScheduled Weekly Hours40Pay RangeThe compensation range below reflects a good faith estimate of starting base pay for full time (40 hours per week) employment at the time of posting. The pay range may be higher or lower based on geographic location and individual pay will vary based on demonstrated job related skills, knowledge, experience, education, certifications, etc.$138,900 - $191,000 per yearThis job is eligible for a bonus incentive plan.
